Many people think the spring is the best time to sell, as more buyers typically come out during that time. However, the winter months have their own advantages when it comes to selling. Here are 5 of them:

Demand is strong: The foot traffic right now is higher than it's been in the last 12 months. Additionally, the buyers who are out there looking for a home in the cold are dead serious about buying, and buying soon!
Less competition: EVERYONE is waiting until the spring to sell their home. Now is the time to get your home great exposure, as there are fewer sellers out there.
Quicker process: One of the biggest challenges of 2014 was the amount of time it took from the time the contact was written to the time it was actually closed. Luckily, we're expecting banks to loosen their standards heading into the new year.
Great time to upgrade: By the end of 2015 the interest rate is expected to rise by 1%. By locking in a low rate now, you'll save yourself thousands down the road.
Home values are appreciating: Home values continue to rise in Lansing. By buying low now, you'll see your home value rise steadily in the coming years.
